Among The Best Hotels in Dubrovnik
Since opening our doors in 2007, we have been honoured with numerous awards. The most recent is the prestigious 2025 Travellers’ Choice Award, Tripadvisor’s highest recognition. Based on a full year of reviews and consistent guest praise, Hotel More is ranked among the top 10% of properties worldwide on Tripadvisor.
An Unforgettable Place
Surrounded by lush Mediterranean greenery rich in color and fragrance, Hotel More enjoys a setting of pure tranquility. A sight to behold from the hotel, the protected forest reserve of Velika and Mala Petka hills offers scenic trails perfect for hiking, jogging, or leisurely strolls amid nature.
The Lapad Bay area, home to Hotel More, is widely considered as the most desirable place to live and the best place to stay in Dubrovnik. Pristine and picturesque, it is framed by verdant hillslopes and dotted with the tiny Grebeni rocks. Beloved by locals for its seaside promenades, inviting beaches, charming cafés and restaurants, Lapad offers an authentic glimpse into everyday life in Dubrovnik and provides a wonderful refuge from the bustling ambiance of the Old Town.
A seaside trail just below the hotel winds around the Lapad peninsula and leads toward the Babin Kuk area. This scenic promenade, frequented by locals and visitors, offers a leisurely walk framed by sea views and sprinkled with Mediterranean scents.
Lapad Bay sits just 3.5 kilometres from the historical Dubrovnik Old City and is connected by a local bus line, with buses arriving to the station near the hotel every 10 minutes.
Cave Bar More
Cave Bar More is the most distinct and best-known feature of the hotel More. This natural cave reveals the strength, patience, and timeless beauty of nature; it is a masterpiece shaped over thousands of years by countless droplets of water, some going back nearly 8.000 years.
Discovered & Preserved
A surprise find during the construction of our hotel, this natural limestone cave was carved by water over thousands of years. Thanks to the enthusiasm, great effort and persistence of the hotel owner, the Cave was not only preserved but made into a showcase of nature’s finesse and splendour.
Recreated as a charming and modern bar, all the natural beauty and uniqueness were emphasised with thoughtful design, and especially lighting that features 300 tiny lights on the cave’s floors and ceilings. Stretching over three levels, the bar can be easily reached by lift from the hotel, as well as from the Cave Bar sea-level terrace.
In the summer, the temperature of the cave remains under 24C degrees, making it an ideal getaway from scorching summer heats, but also a unique setting for events, be it intimate weddings or birthday cocktail parties.
In line with nature’s cycles, the Cave Bar is open from March through November and remains closed in winter months.
Unique & Inspiring
The eye-catching Cave Bar More continues to inspire travellers, frequently appearing in their blogs, social media posts and global travel platforms. Over the last decade, Cave Bar More has captured the attention of foreign media and has been ranked among the best bars in the world.
MORE CAVE BARDubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic
The vivid red roofs and the monumental walls surrounded by the blue of the Adriatic Sea are the recognisable image of Dubrovnik, a pearl situated under Mount Srđ.
Discover Dubrovnik beyond its city walls
“If you want to see paradise on Earth, come to Dubrovnik!” wrote the famous Irish writer George Bernard Shaw, after his visit to our famous city. The town has grown since his visit, and a savvy traveller today knows to venture beyond the city walls to experience the true Dubrovnik.
Stroll the seafront of Gruž harbour, where locals flock to the open-air green and fish markets and boats come and go with rhythmic frequency. Walk the promenade encircling the Babin Kuk peninsula, replete with pristine beaches and plush beach clubs. Hike to the summit of Mount Srđ hill for splendid panoramas, or to Petka hills, for cool shade of centuries-old pine trees. Take a boat to Lokrum island and immerse in its wild beauty and an air of remoteness. Venture beyond the walls and you will find even more beauty and fall in love with Dubrovnik some more.
Explore Dubrovnik Old Town
One of the best-preserved medieval cities in the world, Dubrovnik Old Town has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979. Wrapped in majestic city walls, its compact interior once housed nearly 6000 people in palaces and residences. Still inhabited today, the Old Town is the highlight of every visit to Dubrovnik.
Its architectural mastery, seen in landmarks like the Rector’s Palace or the Dominican Monastery, is paralleled by the ingenuity of its still-functioning historic infrastructure. You can drink the fresh water from Onofrio’s fountain, shop for cosmetics made to ancient recipes at the 1317 Franciscan pharmacy, stroll on top of the city walls. Local children attend school in former monasteries and open-air piazzas host colourful markets under pink umbrellas.
Once you’ve explored all the key sights, allow yourself to wander. Get lost in the maze of side streets to experience the true spirit of the city and everyday life that persists here despite changing times and centuries passing.
